Filter and Query Recordings

The Recordings page lists all of the recordings you have uploaded to your project. It provides filtering, querying and subsetting capabilities.

To access the Recordings page, go to the project menu and click Explore, then Recordings.

Your recordings will be presented.

If you hover over the 'Notes' column, you will see metadata for that recording (time zone, temperature, deployment ID, etc.) which is pulled from the original file. Please note that metadata standards do differ slightly between recorder models (e.g., Audiomoth vs SongMeter), so the Notes column make look slightly different for files from one recorder model versus another.

To filter recordings, click on Filters.

This will allow you to select certain sites, time ranges, tags, etc. You can also search for all the recordings that a species has been detected in (‘Validations’).

After you select all your filters, click ‘Apply Filters’.

These subsets can then be saved as playlists by clicking the ‘Save to Playlist’ button and naming the new playlist.

You can also download a summary of the subset in spreadsheet form by clicking on ‘Export’. You can then select what fields you want included in the spreadsheet and how you want detections grouped if applicable.

You can delete recordings by selecting the ‘Delete’ button.
